Matthew S. Miller represents public and private companies and emerging businesses in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and venture capital financings. He counsels domestic and international strategic buyers and sellers, life science, biotech, pharmaceutical, biomass, chemical, medical device, manufacturing, transportation, and distribution companies. Matt also advises clients on the negotiation and structuring of complex business and commercial relationships, including licensing agreements, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
Matt began his career as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, after graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.
While attending law school, Matt served as a notes and articles editor for the Fordham International Law Journal, was named “Student of the Year” by the Fordham Law Student Bar Association, and received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award upon graduation. Matt clerked for Justice Helen E. Hoens of the New Jersey Supreme Court and was an associate in the corporate and securities practice of another international law firm prior to joining Morgan Lewis.
