Dr. Maximilian Pika focuses his practice on international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, and public international law. He worked on energy, financial services, life sciences, oil and gas, and TMT matters involving a welter of applicable treaties, arbitral rules (e.g., ICSID, DIS, ICC, ICDR, SCC, Swiss, UNCITRAL), national laws, and soft-law instruments. Maximilian is dual-qualified as an English barrister and in his native Germany.
Extended Profile
During his doctorate on “Third-Party Effects of Arbitral Awards” (Kluwer, 2019) in Heidelberg, Maximilian co-provided expert opinions on French, Italian as well as Swiss laws for German courts. He trained, inter alia, in Tokyo and founded a moot capacity-building project in Ethiopia.
