Michael A. Chapnick advises some of the major players who finance entertainment projects in the movie and television industries. Outside of the entertainment arena, Michael represents commercial banks, insurers, diversified financial institutions, and other entities in their secured lending, structured financings, debt restructuring, and loan workout matters. He also works with clients in cable and broadcasting, healthcare, food processing, hotels, and trucking.
In addition to his work in entertainment and financial services, Michael counsels clients on issues arising from the acquisition of assets from bankrupt companies, credit enhancement, minority interests in private companies, general agent management, and highly compensated employee relations.
In his insurer practice, Michael represents these clients as creditors, handling systematic loss scenarios and realizing profits on salvage values.
