Megan A. Suehiro’s practice focuses on complex business litigation and class action defense. She has experience in all phases of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, motions practice, and trial.  Megan has appeared before state and federal courts, and has second-chaired three bench trials, securing complete judgment on behalf of the client in all three.

Megan is a member of the firm’s Class Action Working Group, and has experience representing clients in products liability, financial services, and consumer class actions. 

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Megan was admitted to the partnership of the largest law firm in Hawaii.

While in law school, Megan was a Dean’s Scholar and served as a judicial extern to Judge Susan Oki Mollway, former Chief Judge of the US District Court for the District of Hawaii.

  • Representation of a national bank in defense of multiple class actions alleging breaches of statutory and common law claims in connection with Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program loans pursuant to the CARES Act
  • Representation of a retailer in defense of class actions alleging false pricing practices in violation of various consumer protection statutes
  • Secured complete dismissal on behalf of global travel technology company in putative class action asserting violations of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act
  • Represented financial institutions in putative class actions alleging unfair and deceptive acts and practices in violation of state statute
  • Represented manufacturer of cryogenic storage tanks in putative class action asserting product liability claims
  • Represented Hawaii’s largest general contractor in a $30+ million dispute over a bioenergy project on the Island of Hawaii
  • Defended a developer of urban high-rise condominiums in litigation over the construction of a residential tower on Oahu
  • Secured a $331 million contract award in a bid protest involving Maui’s Kahului Airport through a four-day administrative contested case hearing
  • Defended a developer against claims for $7.3 million in a contract dispute on Kauai, including a successful seven-day bench trial resulting in a favorable judgment and award of attorneys’ fees and costs
  • Represented an international law firm in a series of alleged legal malpractice actions filed in federal and state courts
