Melis S. Kiziltay Carter focuses her practice on privacy and data security matters, and regularly advises and represents clients in connection with these issues. Her experience includes advising on the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other state and international data privacy laws. She is fluent in Turkish and is a dual-qualified attorney licensed to practice in New York and Istanbul, Turkey.
Melis also has substantial international arbitration and commercial litigation experience. Her international arbitration experience includes advising and representing clients in international commercial arbitrations governed by a variety of arbitration rules (e.g., ICC, ICDR).
Melis is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee for the term 2019-2022.
