Melissa D. Hill concentrates her practice on complex employee benefits litigation and general employment litigation. Her ERISA practice includes class action litigation and employee benefits and pension matters, in connection with the management of 401(k), 403(b), and defined benefit pension plans, retirement investment options, insurance products, and related claims of fiduciary breach and prohibited transactions. In addition, Missy represents clients in the financial services, insurance, retail, and manufacturing industries, among others, in litigation related to employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Employers and employee benefits plan sponsors and fiduciaries seek Missy’s counsel when faced with disputes with employees, plan participants, and beneficiaries in federal, state, and appellate courts. In addition to litigation, Missy represents employers and fiduciaries in connection with investigations by the United States Department of Labor, and counsels clients across a variety of industries on day-to-day employment issues such as adverse employment decisions and litigation avoidance.

Missy serves as co-managing partner of Morgan Lewis’s New York office, and leads the labor and employment practice in New York. She also formerly served as the deputy hiring partner for the New York office.
