Mike Pickett counsels clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including single-asset and portfolio sales and acquisitions, equity investments and joint ventures, financings for borrowers and lenders as well as real estate debt restructurings. Mike’s clients include real estate developers, investors and operators, banks and other financial institutions, and pension and other fund advisers. According to Chambers USA, “his legal prowess is top-notch, his organizational skills have been nothing short of perfect, and he is pleasant interacting with the other side.” In addition, Mike is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Michael was a partner in the real estate practice of another international law firm, where he was deputy co-chair. Before that, he was an asset manager with a District of Columbia bank holding company, concentrating in real estate loan workouts, restructures, foreclosures, and bankruptcies.

Represented the seller in connection with the sale of 2000 K Street, a 153,212-square-foot office building located in Washington, D.C.
Represented the seller in connection with the sale of a NoMa area, District of Columbia mixed-use project just constructed, consisting of a 303-unit multifamily residential development, a Walmart Supercenter and other retail
Represented the developer borrower in connection with a $73 million construction financing for a nine-story, 141,026-square-foot office building located at 16th & Eye Streets, NW. It will include three floors of below grade parking, ground floor retail and a separate parcel housing the Third Church of Christ, Scientists.
Represented the developer in connection with the joint venture equity funding and a $147,600,000 construction loan for a 30-story unit multifamily residential tower and mixed-use project located in Rosslyn, Virginia
