Oliver J. Newman provides counseling to both public and privately held companies on matters regarding general business law, securities law, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. His clients include life sciences and technology companies. While in law school, Oliver co-authored a report on transnational crime and Islamic law for the US Department Of State as a member of the Diplomacy Lab. Oliver was also a member of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal.
Prior to attending law school, Oliver worked as a family center supervisor for the Osborne Association, a nonprofit that provides counseling and related services to formerly incarcerated individuals. In this role he supervised three inmates at Shawangunk Correctional Facility in upstate New York, in a section of the visiting center designed for families to interact in a less formal environment.
