Paulo McKeeby has experience in all areas of employment law, including litigation involving Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act, and US state wage and labor statutes. He has experience handling individual, collective, and class actions in state and federal court. Paulo is the labor and employment practice leader in Morgan Lewis’s Dallas office and serves as the co-chair of the Texas labor and employment practice. Paulo has practiced in labor and employment law since graduating from law school in 1992.
Paulo also has litigation, counseling, drafting, and speaking experience regarding Texas noncompete and trade secret law. He actively litigates such cases on behalf of employers as well as former employees in connection with his practice, and he previously served as chair of Morgan Lewis’s noncompete and trade secret practice.
Paulo also regularly litigates cases under the FLSA, including collective actions. He has defended lawsuits involving off-the-clock allegations, donning and doffing claims, and exemption/misclassification allegations. In addition to litigating FLSA matters, Paulo regularly counsels employees regarding FLSA compliance and application of overtime exemptions.
