Peter J. Mee assists clients with a wide variety of labor and employment matters, appearing in US federal and Massachusetts and Rhode Island state courts, and before the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state fair employment practices agencies. He represents clients in single-plaintiff discrimination lawsuits, against multiparty class and collective action wage and hour claims, in disputes over noncompete and trade secret agreements, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He also handles employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Outside the courtroom, Peter frequently counsels employers on all aspects of employment law compliance and overall best practices. He assists clients in developing and improving executive compensation agreements, employee separation agreements, and employee policies and handbooks.
Peter is a member of the Hiring and Pro-Bono Committees in Morgan Lewis’s Boston office and maintains an active pro-bono practice assisting multiple nonprofit organizations with employment law compliance.
Peter was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in New England in the area of Employment & Labor in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
