Peter J. Mee assists clients with a wide variety of labor and employment matters. His practice includes single-plaintiff and class action litigation throughout the country, along with employment law counseling and employment-related aspects of corporate transactions. Peter has appeared in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions and has handled matters before the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state fair employment practices agencies in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.
Peter represents clients in discrimination lawsuits, wage and hour claims, disputes over noncompete and trade secret agreements, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. His transactional practice includes advising buyers, sellers, and insurance underwriters on employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions. He also regularly assists clients in drafting executive compensation agreements and company policies. When counseling clients, Peter works to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws as part of a comprehensive litigation-avoidance strategy.
Peter is a member of the Hiring and Pro Bono Committees in Morgan Lewis’s Boston office and maintains an active pro-bono practice assisting multiple nonprofit organizations with employment law compliance.
Peter was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in New England in the area of Employment & Labor in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
