Richard was named in the Guide to the World's Leading Real Estate Lawyers (Euromoney Legal Media Group, 1999) and has been mentioned as ‘highly regarded’ in the IFLR 1000. He has been a contributor to a number of publications including Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore: Land (LexisNexis, 2005). He has also served on the boards of a number of public companies including the board of the manager of a real estate investment trust listed on the Singapore Exchange.
Richard is currently a panel member of Strata Titles Board, a council member of the National Water Safety Council, the president of the Singapore Life Saving Society and a director of the International Life Saving Federation.
His academic work includes being an adjunct associate professor at the National University of Singapore and a senior teaching fellow of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley from November 2002 to January 2003.
