Siobhan E. Mee represents companies and individuals in complex employment litigation matters, including noncompetition lawsuits, discrimination cases, and whistleblower actions. She also advises employers in connection with internal and government investigations. Her recent work includes defending a biotech company in litigation brought by its former CEO who claimed entitlement to a substantial ownership interest in the company, conducting an internal investigation into alleged fraud and other compliance issues raised by a whistleblower, and obtaining injunctive relief against a client’s former sales team to prevent their breach of restrictive covenants and misappropriation of trade secrets. Siobhan is the leader of the labor and employment practice for the Boston office.

Siobhan also has experience in a broad range of commercial litigation and regulatory matters.  After law school, Siobhan clerked for the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Siobhan was a partner in the litigation practice of another international law firm.

  • Defended a financial services company in arbitration involving a former employee’s claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, breach of contract, defamation, and other business torts.
  • Conducted an internal investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct by a senior executive of a public company.
  • Advised the board of directors of a national insurance company after conducting an internal investigation into management, training, technological, and business practice exposures.
  • Defended a financial services company in federal class action litigation alleging race and gender employment discrimination.
  • Defended a chief investment officer against claims arising from his alleged role in the misappropriation of over $56,000,000 from his former employer.
  • Conducted an internal investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct by the athletic director of a private college.
  • Advised the board of directors of a state retirement system in connection with an investigation into alleged fraud and other compliance matters.
  • Defended an engineering and construction management firm in litigation brought by government agency seeking more than $145 million in damages for alleged mismanagement of public works project.
  • Represented financial services companies in arbitrations involving customer complaints of unsuitability, breach of contract, and business torts.
  • Defended a financial services company in multiple class actions involving claims of securities laws violations and misrepresentation.
  • Represented limited partners of real estate partnership in litigation involving claims of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Prosecuted contract and tort claims against a manufacturer of industrial adhesives on behalf of a former executive; obtained jury verdict.
  • Defended a childcare services company in litigation involving civil conspiracy and other business tort claims; obtained summary judgment on all counts of complaint and successfully briefed and argued case on appeal.
  • Advised a manufacturer of consumer products in connection with an investigation into alleged violations of environmental regulations.
  • Represented a Chapter 11 trustee of insurance holding company in several lawsuits involving claims of preferential and fraudulent transfers, breach of contract, and multiple business torts.
