Sujal J. Shah’s practice focuses on antitrust litigation and counseling, complex commercial litigation, and appellate matters. He specializes in complex antitrust matters, including class actions, and has represented clients in price-fixing, bid-rigging, tying, exclusive dealing, and monopolization cases. He also has experience representing clients seeking merger approval before the Department of Justice and counsels clients as to the antitrust implications of joint venture agreements and vertical sales and distribution agreements.

Sujal represents clients with a broad range of products and services, including internet search, microprocessors, flash memory, credit card processing, wireless communication services, telecommunications hardware and networking equipment, and medical residency programs.

In addition to his antitrust experience, Sujal has worked on appellate cases concerning products liability and regulated industries. He has also worked extensively on pro bono matters, including representing an inmate on death row, challenging a state law on Equal Protection grounds, and challenging the scope of consular immunity with regard to wage and hour claims.

In 2008, Sujal completed a two-year fellowship at Columbia Law School where he was in the Associates-in-Law Program. While at Columbia, he taught legal writing to first-year law students and deepened his knowledge of antitrust law through research on issues regarding the intersection of antitrust standing and IP law, technological tying, and innovation markets.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Sujal was a partner in the antitrust and trade regulation practice of another international law firm.
