Thomas Edwards advises energy industry clients focusing on upstream and midstream oil and gas transactions and projects. Thomas represents clients in acquisitions and divestitures at corporate and asset level (including farm-ins). He advises the owners and operators of assets across the field life-cycle on matters relating to production sharing agreements (and other forms of granting instrument); exploration; joint venturing; field development and decommissioning; and hydrocarbon lifting, transportation, processing, and sales arrangements, including gas contracts.
Thomas advises clients doing business internationally in regions including the North Sea, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Thomas has experience with a range of granting instruments, including licenses and concessions, production sharing arrangements, and risk service contracts.
Thomas also represents clients that include governments, national oil companies, majors, utilities with upstream investments, and independent oil companies, as well as investors and oil field service providers.
