On January 21, 2010, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Technical Feasibility Exception (TFE) rules proposed By the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) applicable to certain Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) mandatory Reliability Standards.
