Please join Morgan Lewis and Exponent for "What You Need to Know About the Current Reevaluation of Chemical Risks by the EPA."
The EPA is currently reevaluating the health risks of more than 20 chemicals, many of which are common in consumer products and the environment. For example, the EPA recently proposed that TCE may be 40 times more toxic than originally thought. The public's perception of health risks posed by chemical exposures can drive both their regulation and litigation. The results of the EPA's reassessment will play a key role in forming both the public perception of the reevaluated chemicals and the technical, regulatory, and legal responsibilities of their stakeholders.
This webcast will focus on the implications of the EPA's reassessment of TCE as an example of the issues that emerge when commonly known carcinogenic and other regulated chemicals undergo reassessment. The panelists will also discuss other emerging contaminants with debated threshold levels, such as perchlorate.
