Morgan Lewis's Katie McDermott will join a distinguished panel of government and private counsel including Assistant United States Attorney Jamie Bennett regarding "Quality of Care and Anti-Fraud Enforcement: Back to the Future Again" at the Mid-Year Luncheon on Monday, September 27 during the American Health Lawyers Association's Annual Fraud and Compliance Program. Katie currently serves as Chair of the AHLA Fraud and Abuse Practice Group. The program will examine the compliance link between quality of care expectations and anti-fraud enforcement, particularly under the new False Claims Act amendments and how DOJ quality of care enforcement is increasing and will have a substantial impact on health care arrangements. Ms. McDermott is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and DOJ Health Care Fraud Coordinator who represents the health industry in government enforcement and compliance matters.
