EEOC Pay Equity Enforcement

Thursday, January 24, 2013
01:00 AM Eastern Standard Time

Please join us for a one-hour webinar to learn more about the potential impact of the EEOC's renewed focus on pay equity.

Pay equity was a hotly debated topic during the 2012 presidential campaign and will likely be an area of continued focus for the Obama administration. Recently, the U.S. Equal Employment Commission's (EEOC's) much-anticipated four-year Strategic Enforcement Plan received a last-minute addition, making it clear that the EEOC will focus its efforts on investigating and litigating equal pay claims. These new developments, coupled with the EEOC's emphasis on systemic or "class" lawsuits, make pay equity issues a major concern for all employers.

The following topics will be addressed:

  • A brief overview of pay equity laws, including the Equal Pay Act
  • What employers can expect from EEOC pay claim investigations
  • Steps employers can proactively take to reduce their risk of pay discrimination claims
