Best Practices for Fortune 50 Companies on Increasing the Use of Diverse Outside Counsel

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Increasing diversity in the legal profession undoubtedly addresses a history of exclusionary laws and practices.  Diversity also has a business benefit too – it often leads to better questions, analyses, solutions, and processes. In-house counsel can make an impact on this issue through their decisions regarding which outside law firms represent their companies. Morgan Lewis has invited in-house counsel from Bank of America, Microsoft, Verizon, and Wal-Mart to discuss and share some of their thoughts and best practices for increasing diversity through their use of outside counsel.
