Listen to the recording >>

December 09, 2015

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit recently handed down an en banc decision in the long-running Akamai Technologies, Inc. v. Limelight Networks, Inc. patent dispute. This case has breathed new life into infringement suits where multiple entities jointly infringe a patent but no one entity practices every element (so-called “divided infringement”).

Please join us over breakfast and a cup of coffee for a presentation explaining the court’s new divided infringement standard and its implications on patent infringement claims.

Topics will include:

  • Recent district court treatment of infringement claims under the new standard
  • Tips for prosecuting enforceable method claims and process patent claims
  • Guidance on structuring relationships with third parties to reduce the risk of infringement
  • Strategies for effectively litigating patent claims under the new standard
