Cybersecurity is a critical issue facing businesses today. Join us to understand important decisions by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in 2015, as well as trends for 2016.

2015 was a watershed year, with the FCC handing down record fines related to privacy and data security violations. We expect that in 2016 we will continue to see increased FCC enforcement actions, as well as a proceeding to determine how the FCC’s existing data security and privacy obligations should apply to online data. The FTC  scored a significant legal victory in Wyndham, but suffered a big loss with LabMD. We will explore what the split means as we expect the FTC to continue its push to be the lead regulator on privacy and cybersecurity.

Join us to learn about how the FCC and FTC will continue to focus on data security and privacy. We also plan to cover hot developing topics like the EU-US Safe Harbor, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, and the ongoing encryption debate.

CLE credit: CLE credit in CA, FL, IL, NJ, NY, PA, TX, and VA is currently pending.
