Over the last 15 years, the US government has consistently articulated and implemented its sanctions enforcement policy to align with global actions. In recent years, the events that trigger sanctions have expanded to include cyber intrusions, political engagement, and traditional weapons of mass destruction.

This more expansive approach, coupled with additional issues associated with the expansion of the use of extraterritorial reach of certain sanctions laws, has raised questions regarding the manner in which the current administration may enforce these laws and regulations. Please join us for a one-hour webinar that outlines the Department of Treasury–Office of Foreign Assets Control’s current enforcement posture and covers recent cases that provide some insight into managing liability under the sanctions regimes.
