We are pleased to announce that FDA associate Ryan Fournier will present The FDA Food Code: An Interplay Between Federal/State Jurisdiction at the Institute of Food Technologists’ Food Laws & Regulations: A Practical Road Map course.

Ryan will discuss the following topics:

  • Overview of the US Food Code and FDA’s most recent updates released February 2018
  • Legal interplay between state and local jurisdictional authority over food operations alongside federal rules/policies
  • State and local policy initiatives related to food operations and nutritive declarations, and whether they conflict with federal requirements
