California has adopted a new law mandating that every publicly-traded company headquartered in the state have at least one woman on its board of directors. This law follows aggressive advocacy for board diversity by several public and private investment funds and other prominent commentators.

Join us for a spirited dialogue on the requirements of this new law, the anticipated legal challenges, and practical tips for companies and their boards to address this important issue. Whether or not this law is ever fully implemented, boards need to be more focused on the underlying concerns that have driven this movement and develop strategies for successfully navigating the new landscape.
