FERC’s Office of Enforcement continued its mission of pursuing significant and groundbreaking enforcement actions against energy market participants. The office also assessed, pursued, or settled millions of dollars in civil penalties and disgorgement from enforcement targets in 2018. FERC’s enforcement efforts concerned both electric and gas sectors, and its penalty assessments targeted conduct that occurred both within and beyond organized markets.
