This training will provide participants with an in-depth substantive review of U.S. asylum law. The course will address sources of law, the asylum process, applicable factors and definitions, relevant case law, legal bars and hurdles facing asylum-seekers, alternative avenues for relief (such as the Convention Against Torture), available resources for pro bono clients, and practice tips.
