Thursday, August 20, 2020
04:00 PM - 05:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time

Women in Securities (WISe), a network co-founded by Morgan Lewis litigation partner Chuck Shimada, hosted its first-ever virtual panel with the enforcement leadership of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) West Coast Regional Offices. WISe aims to give encouragement to the growing number of women in the securities field and to ensure that women continue to play a leadership role in the future of securities litigation. To accomplish those goals, WISe seeks to promote the development, advancement, mentoring and education of women securities litigators and provide a means for networking and business development.

The West Coast SEC Enforcement Leadership panel included Erin Schneider (Regional Director, San Francisco Regional Office (SFRO)), Monique Winkler (Head of Enforcement, SFRO), Michele Layne (Regional Director, Los Angeles Regional Office (LARO)), Alka Patel (Co-head of Enforcement, LARO), and Kate Zoladz (Co-head of Enforcement, LARO). Former Regional Director of the SEC’s San Francisco Regional Office Jina Choi moderated the discussion.
