American Health Lawyers Association AHLA Fundamentals of Health Law

AHLA’s Fundamentals of Health Law program is a valuable training program for new associates and in-house counsel, compliance officers, consultants, and others who advise health care clients. It is also an excellent refresher for experienced health lawyers and health professionals. AHLA has decided to convert this year’s Fundamentals of Health Law to a virtual program.

• Telehealth modalities, licensure, and credentialing issues
• Requirements for establishing the physician-patient relationship and obtaining informed consent
• Online prescribing requirements
• Reimbursement basics, including Medicare telehealth policy
• Liability risks in vendor contracting and malpractice coverage
• COVID-19 temporary waivers and permanent changes for telehealth services
