Litigation partner Robin Nunn participated in the Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC) 17th Annual Career Strategies Conference, held in Los Angeles and virtually. Robin’s panel, “Global Privacy and Cybersecurity Trends,” discussed the major data security and privacy issues of which corporate leaders should be aware. They also discussed the key regulatory trends that emerged in 2021 and what these will mean for privacy, compliance, and security professionals preparing for 2022.
Robin encouraged board members and in-house corporate leaders to consider a risk-based approach to data management by creating compliance policies and procedures in line with government regulations, monitoring and measuring risk in a meaningful way, and ensuring action plans are in place in the event of a breach or misuse of data.
