Strafford Webinar New EPA Guidance on PFAS and Safe Drinking Water: Health Advisories, Regional Screening Levels, Remediation Levels

Partner Stephanie Feingold co-presented the Strafford live video webinar, “New EPA Guidance on PFAS and Safe Drinking Water: Health Advisories, Regional Screening Levels, Remediation Levels.” Stephanie spoke as part of a two-person panel that addressed the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new actions related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including the controversial new health advisory levels (HALs) recently issued under the Safe Drinking Water Act. She discussed how those new levels could impact the pending classification of these chemicals as hazardous substances under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; other pending EPA regulations; the anticipated maximum contaminant levels and the need for future remediation to remove PFAS from water sources; and current challenges to the new advisories.
