Tuesday, November 8, 2022 - Wednesday, November 9, 2022

As part of the session on cybersecurity, privacy, policies, and law, Arjun’s presentation, “Federal Cyber Regulations: What to Know and Where It’s Going,” will focus on managing mandatory federal cybersecurity regulations and will be highly relevant to pipeline owners and operators subject to federal oversight.

Topics will include:

  • The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Directives issued in 2021, changes to the Security Directives, first-hand lessons learned by the industry, and a look forward at the TSA’s plans to formalize its regulations.
  • The Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act of 2022 (CIRCIA) and enhanced US Securities and Exchange Commission rules.
  • Balancing a growing “alphabet soup” of federal regulatory requirements.
  • Managing regulatory engagements, including witness preparation, the importance of executive-level engagement, and suggestions for leveraging internal or external legal resources.
