Morgan Lewis presents "Avoiding the Legal Landmines of Employee Release Agreements."
The presenters will review provisions of typical Release Agreements, Separation Agreements and Severance Agreements to highlight the important legal and practical issues raised by releases. They will discuss employee benefits and tax concerns when preparing agreements (especially 409A issues but also tax and benefits issues related to healthcare continuation and other extended benefits) as well as employment concerns relating to releases (scope of release, wage act concerns, non-competes).
