Competence in the Legal Profession: A Case Study on Addiction and Stress

Wednesday, January 17, 2018
12:00 PM - 01:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

A 2016 study from the American Bar Association concluded that lawyers experience substance-abuse disorders at a higher rate than other professional populations. Join David Mann of “The Other Bar” as he shares his own story of addiction and recovery.

David will offer insights into the personality traits of lawyers and the qualities of the legal profession that make lawyers significantly more susceptible to addiction, and more difficult to treat, than the general population. He will also identify specific strategies and resources to help lawyers address these problems. Please note that we will be applying for specialty CLE credit for this program.

Please note, ethics/competence issues/substance abuse CLE credit is pending in select states.

If you need assistance registering, please email Janet Oronos.

CLE credit: CLE Credit in CA, IL, NJ (via reciprocity), NY, PA, TX, and VA is currently pending approval.
