ERISA Litigation Virtual Roundtable: For Plan Sponsors

Lawyers in our employee benefits and ERISA litigation practices will host two virtual roundtables in October. This program will focus specifically on issues facing plan sponsors, and the other on issues facing providers and fiduciary insurance carriers.

Each three-hour program will be followed by an optional CLE Ethics session. A select group of general counsel, senior in-house counsel, and benefits professionals will participate in active discussions on hot topics and emerging trends, legal challenges, opportunities, and best practices in ERISA and benefits litigation.

Select topics will include:

• Retirement plan litigation
• Welfare and benefit claims plan litigation
• DOL Update: Secure Act guidance, ESG, lifetime income, and looking to the election
• US Supreme Court updates
• Coronavirus (COVID-19): Developments and implications for plan sponsors

Format

Participants will join by video to better facilitate the collaborative nature of our past roundtables. We will prepare topics to frame the discussion, but the event is also intended to operate as an open forum for all attendees to share their top-of-mind concerns and best practices.
