Please join the finance practice for a one-hour video presentation. This month's topic is "Islamic Finance: Ethics, Concepts, and Structures."
Tarek El-Assra will provide a background to Islamic finance; set out the key principles of Shari’a; explain the role of the Shari’a scholars and issuance of their Fatwa; provide an overview of the main Shari’a structures used for financings; analyse case studies on Shari’a compliant financings; and outline key differences between Shari’a compliant and conventional finance.
