Please join us for a robust roundtable discussion on gun-jumping and other antitrust pitfalls in M&A transactions.

EU antitrust authorities are increasing the enforcement of the rules prohibiting the premature implementation of a notifiable or notified transaction before required approvals are received and the deals closed – so-called “gun-jumping.” There is also greater scrutiny of adherence to procedural requirements, including the provision of correct and complete data. Therefore, parties need to focus on the do’s and don’ts with increased care throughout the different stages of the deal process.

We will highlight key case law to illustrate recent enforcement activity by the EU Commission and EU member states and discuss practical strategies to reduce antitrust risks.
