Being a successful lawyer is not just about knowing the law and your clients — it also requires lawyers to invest in themselves and their overall health and well-being. Practicing mindfulness is scientifically shown to be one of the most effective ways to improve your overall well-being. In this New Jersey Lawyer Assistance Program (NJLAP) session during the inaugural Lawyer Well-Being Week, Morgan Lewis Director of Employee Well-Being Krista Larson will lead a guided meditation after introducing mindfulness techniques lawyers can incorporate into their daily practice in order to settle and focus their minds when overcoming challenging situations.
