Please join Morgan Lewis for the winter session of our quarterly Morgan Lewis Hedge Fund University^TM webinar series, where we will discuss important issues surrounding the European Union’s European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) from the perspective of U.S. and other non-EU hedge funds and other types of counterparty trading derivatives with EU counterparties.

We will also provide an update on the private placement overlay under the European Union’s Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) from the perspective of U.S. and other non-EU managers of alternative investment funds marketing the funds in the EU.

Our panelists will explore the relevance of EMIR to U.S. and other non-EU hedge funds and others trading derivatives with EU counterparties as well as the key practical implications. This discussion will be particularly timely to as the AIFMD transitional period expires on July 21, 2014.
