Please join Morgan Lewis corporate partner and shareholder activism defense practice leader Keith E. Gottfried and corporate partner Sean M. Donahue for the webinar, "Shareholder Activism Defense: How Founder/Former CEO Led Shareholder Activism Campaigns Differ From Other Activism Campaigns."

This 60-minute webinar will provide an overview of how founder/former CEO-led shareholder activism campaigns are very different from other activism campaigns such as those led by hedge funds with no historical ties to the company. Among the issues to be explored will be how the “playing field” is substantially different, with the incumbent board and management positioning themselves as the agents for change and the founder/former CEO having to defend his/her past record leading the company and justify why shareholders should support his/her return to the company. We will also explore to what extent the objectives of the founder/former CEO activist may differ from those of other activists and what the implications of those different objectives are for defending the company against a founder/former CEO activist.
