Morgan Lewis partner John G. Ferreira and of counsel Mark J. Simons will serve as panelists for the fourth installment of our Plan Sponsor Basics webinar series, which considers the day-to-day issues that many plan sponsors face in the design and operation of their retirement plans.

This webinar will focus on participant disclosures and communications for retirement plans. Topics will include:

  • Summary plan descriptions and summaries of material modification
  • Required annual or other periodic notices (safe-harbor notices, QDIA notices, and benefit statements)
  • Event-driven notices (blackout, mapping, 204(h), plan termination)
  • Electronic disclosure issues and concerns
  • How to limit potential liability for "bad" communications
