Representing Detained Asylum Seekers

An overview on representing asylum seekers who are detained, often in remote facilities with poor conditions of confinement, while they await their day in court. There is an acute access to justice gap in our country’s sprawling immigration detention complex: only 14% of detained immigrants have counsel even though attorneys make an individual ten times more likely to prevail in their case.
