Social Media, Waivers, and the NLRA: What All Companies Need to Know

Thursday, January 19, 2012
12:00 PM - 01:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

Please join Morgan Lewis for a one-hour interactive webinar addressing how the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is taking a surprisingly active role in the rapidly expanding world of social media and in determining the legality of class action waivers. The NLRB's decisions in these areas will have implications for all employers covered by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), regardless of whether an employer has unionized employees.

The following topics will be addressed:

  • The NLRB's efforts to regulate employers' efforts to control and monitor their employees' participation in the rapidly expanding and evolving world of social media.
  • The NLRB's view of the enforceability of arbitration agreements and class action waivers in a nonunion setting.
  • Strategies for drafting arbitration agreements and social media policies.
