Tax Reform – A Review of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and Recent Guidance

This briefing is designed to provide a high-level summary of the legislation known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). The briefing will highlight those key takeaways from the enacted legislation that will help in-house lawyers participate in meaningful internal discussions on the effects of repatriation tax (also known as the transition tax), as well as potential implications of key TCJA provisions that affect cross-border transactions.

In addition, the briefing will discuss the recently issued proposed regulations under Section 965 (i.e., the repatriation tax), as well as what expected guidance still is outstanding and the potential timing on that guidance.
