The Art of the Deposition: A Two-Day “On Your Feet” Training Workshop

John Lavelle will participate as a faculty member in "The Art of the Deposition" workshop put on by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. The workshop will be a participatory, practice-based training on deposition skills.

This program will give registrants the opportunity to depose and defend party witnesses and expert witnesses over a two day period. Registrants will work in teams of plaintiff and defense counsel. Live depositions will be observed by faculty who will offer constructive critiques on registrant performances. Registrants will also serve as witnesses during the program — an invaluable learning experience for anyone engaged in litigation of any kind. Practical lectures and panel discussions that will address difficult issues, techniques and ethical considerations will be interspersed throughout the two days to round out the experience.
