The Affordable Care Act (ACA) made important changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), including new affirmative duties for employers that become effective this fall.
The FLSA now mandates that employers provide (1) notice to employees about insurance exchanges, (2) automatic health insurance enrollment (for large employers), (3) expanded whistleblower protections, and (4) lactation breaks.
