This international workshop serves as a platform where authorities from the United States, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom share knowledge of their respective regulatory frameworks for therapies based on genome-edited induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell derivatives. Recent developments in genome editing are expected to lead to new possibilities for the treatment of hereditary diseases.
