HONG KONG, December 30, 2020: Morgan Lewis has received the Gold Law Firm Award and Distinguished Pro Bono Law Firm Award from The Law Society of Hong Kong for the firm’s outstanding commitment to volunteer pro bono and community work in 2020.
Throughout the year, we have provided corporate, tax, and employment-related pro bono counsel to nonprofits serving vulnerable individuals and communities, including supporting elderly care, youth development and education, victims of domestic violence, people with disabilities, and wildlife protection. The firm’s pro bono work has ranged from helping a family that suffered alleged medical negligence obtain legal aid to establishing a charitable entity in Hong Kong for low-income families, and advising on data privacy issues for a foundation that addresses Hong Kong’s civic and social needs.
