Andrew V. Devkar
Andrew Devkar is the managing partner of the Century City office and one of the leaders of the firm's Southern California intellectual property litigation practice. He has been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star in intellectual property litigation. Andrew handles a broad range of intellectual property matters across numerous technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) and a wide range of software and hardware technologies. He litigates complex patent infringement cases in US district courts and before the International Trade Commission and Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Andrew represents clients in a wide range of industries, including AI, software and internet technologies, clean energy technologies, wireless and networking technologies, smartphones, digital camera design and operation, power components and electronics, semiconductors, printer technologies, image sensors, LEDs, and many other consumer electronics. Andrew’s experience also includes general intellectual property counseling and monetization, patent prosecution and licensing, and trade secret matters.
He also has experience counseling and working for startup companies, including on capitalization, intellectual property protection and enforcement, branding, and other business strategy.
Andrew has an active pro bono practice, including for the Alliance for Children’s Rights, where he has worked to protect the rights of impoverished and abused children.
