Drew Cleary Jordan represents corporate and individual clients in a variety of complex commercial and environmental matters before US federal and state courts, including appellate courts. Drew has experience representing clients in matters involving consumer class action and multi-district litigation, fraud and RICO litigation, business and corporate disputes, state and federal government investigations, including US Attorney investigations, mass toxic torts, product liability, intellectual property, and regulatory and enforcement issues. Drew works extensively with US and international clients in the retail and ecommerce, energy, pharmaceutical, real estate, manufacturing, and financial services industries.
His environmental litigation and regulatory practice includes the representation and counseling of clients in connection with contribution and cost recovery actions under a number of state and federal environmental statutes including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), as well as regulatory counseling in connection with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). In addition to litigating, Drew counsels clients on litigation avoidance and crisis management. He also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Drew served as a law clerk to Judge Danny C. Reeves in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky for a two-year term. While attending Fordham University School of Law, Drew served as a notes and articles editor for the Fordham International Law Journal and was the recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. He also spent two summers interning for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in the resident office in Washington, DC, and the regional office in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to attending law school, Drew gained experience as a paralegal in Morgan Lewis’s business and finance Practice in New York, where he was involved in a broad range of deals, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (including joint ventures, spin-offs, and strategic alliances), and finance and restructuring.
Drew graduated from the University of Virginia, where he was on the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll, University of Virginia Athletic Honor Roll, and Dean’s List, and was also a four-year member of the Division I men’s lacrosse team, including the 2006 NCAA Division I national championship and Atlantic Coast Conference championship team.
