Jesse S. Krompier is trusted by leading companies in the life sciences, technology, and energy industries to handle their most complex legal challenges. His practice focuses on disputes that pose significant financial and reputational risk, including mass torts, product liability actions, and business conflicts involving claims of breach of contract, fraud, and unfair competition. Jesse advocates for clients in large-scale coordinated proceedings and MDLs, crisis-driven litigation, and complex commercial disputes with enterprise-wide implications. His strategic counsel and trial experience make him a go-to advisor when the stakes are highest.

Jesse is recognized for delivering results in the courtroom, including securing a unanimous $133 million jury verdict in an environmental cost-recovery trial in Los Angeles, named a Top Verdict of 2022 by the Daily Journal. Clients depend on Jesse to shape litigation strategy, defend and conduct depositions, prepare and argue motions, and build a compelling case for trial. He also advises clients on pre-litigation investigations, risk mitigation, and opportunities for early resolution.

Jesse is a member of the firm’s technology industry team and has a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving legal landscape shaped by advancements in science and technology, the internet, and artificial intelligence (AI). He represents clients on emerging issues related to data-driven products and services, including social media platforms, AI-driven applications, and technologies that deliver personalized user experiences.

Jesse serves on the firm’s Global Committee on Associates and represents the Southern California offices. He is also active on the Los Angeles Hiring Committee and Summer Program Committee, and he participates as a mentor in the Morgan Lewis Mentorship Program. While in law school, Jesse externed for Judge Dolly M. Gee of the US District Court for the Central District of California and earned the UCLA Moot Court Honors Program Award.

  • Obtained a $133 million jury verdict in a lawsuit seeking contribution and equitable indemnity for costs incurred pursuant to an agency’s cleanup and abatement order
  • Represented a health benefits provider in a breach of contract arbitration relating to specialty medical injectables
  • Represented a Fortune 500 energy services holding company and its regulated subsidiary in mass litigation and regulatory matters involving the Aliso Canyon gas leak in Porter Ranch, California
  • Represented a video game developer in a manufacturing dispute regarding a new gaming system
  • Represented an advisory firm in a contract dispute regarding the implementation of human capital management software
  • Obtained an $11.9 million jury verdict for a private aircraft management company where a former company director interfered with the company’s aircraft charter management agreements
  • Secured dismissal of claims for fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and breach of fiduciary duty in a breach of contract lawsuit relating to contracts for fuel pathway–based crediting under California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard program
  • Represented a Medjool date farm in a breach of contract dispute involving the production and distribution of dates under the California Food and Agricultural Code
